It’s one subject we all agree on … one item we all agree is required to succeed in business – online or offline, you need a list!
There are as many ways to build a list as there are people to add to those lists. It matters not how you build it matters only that you do build a list.
In this post, I’m going to share a simple tactic you can use on AdlandPro to grow your list of “friends”. AdlandPro makes it easy to invite other members to join your AdlandPro friends list. It’s one of the things I like best about the AdlandPro Social Network.
Unlike Social Networks such as FaceBook and MySpace, the AdlandPro membership base of over 87,000 members are all involved in business in some shape or form or they are looking to get involved.
With the right approach, you could reel in that big fish with their own big list!
Today, our focus is using a simple method to invite all the new people who join AdlandPro. I learned this technique from a fellow AdlandPro Person of the Week, who had a list of 14,000+ members. When I wrote to congratulate him on his POW nomination, I asked how he acquired such a large list. His answer is what I`m sharing with you below and it may surprise you how simple it is.
Step One – Get an AdlandPro membership
Membership in AdlandPro is free, however, it’s one of the few membership sites that I highly recommend you upgrade with. Setup for free initially and get familiar with the program. You will soon see why upgrading makes sense.
For this exercise, your free membership will work just fine.
Once logged in to AdlandPro, click on the Networking tab at the top of the page. At the top of the page, you will see statistics about how many AdlandPro members are online at that time.
Example: There are currently 389 out of 87,258 members online | 4,232 visits today. [All…] | [Reports…]
You are going to click on the Red link to [Reports…]
From here, you will be presented with a list of reports to choose from.
Choose New Members
When you click this link, it lists all the new members who recently joined AdlandPro starting with the newest.
The list will show their AdlandPro name along with the date they joined AdlandPro. Click on the link by their name.
This takes you to their personal page. From their page, click the tab ‘Invite Me to be Friends‘.
You will then be presented with a page to enter your invitation. Here is the script I recommend and use:
Hello NAME,
I noticed that you are new to AdlandPro and wanted to be one of the first to welcome you and invite you to add me to your friends list on AdlandPro.
Let’s connect soon.

Change NAME for your new contacts name which is displayed on their profile.

Spend 30 to 60 minutes inviting new AdlandPro members to your friends list and you will be surprised at how quickly your list of friends can grow.
When choosing to add friends, I tend to look for individuals who are in Canada and the USA as this is where my target market is right now. Although my list building techniques are global, my focus for my primary business is more local and AldandPro makes that a simple task with their targeting features.
You should be able to add 25 to 50 new friends a day with this method. Please come back and share your results.
Now remember, adding new friends is only step one in the list building process. Your goal now is to learn about your new contacts as they agree to be added to your list and send them a private message to welcome them.
Your job now is to build those relationships and find those people who you feel are the right people to partner with you in your business.

Below is a journal of our changes.
Day 6 – first entry
I am experiencing some life changing moments right before your eyes and mine.
Seriously.
In the last 6 days since I started taking VIVIX™ (exclusive to Shaklee Independent Distributors), my body feels different … my skin is tighter …. my wrinkles are disappearing … Don’s wrinkles are disappearing (what few he had lol) …. we both have muscles forming (ones we misplaced a while ago) …. our bodies are becoming younger – and that’s not hype nor made up.
This is OUR real experience and I’ll admit I am as surprised as you … well ok, maybe not as I already had a fundamental belief in the science behind this product.
BUT … and that’s not a word I use lightly … I honestly have SO much more energy …. at first I thought it was my imagination and then I started to notice visible physical changes in Don … noticeable lines were visibly gone … and I noticed other changes and thought … hmm …
Does Don see those same changes in me? And sure enough … he does.
I can feel muscles in my stomach I forgot I had and I lost 5 pounds … and trust me it’s not from extra situps or anything like that …
Day 9
The changes continue, what we are noticing most is the elasticity of our skin. Our skin has turned taut again. Don and I are both feeling much more energy as well. Our bodies appear to be reshaping and we can only imagine what is going on at the cellular level.
Our changes are visibly noticeable by others and tomorrow we finish our first bottle of VIVIX™! I can’t wait to see how we’ll feel in a month 😉
Day 17 – our camping experience
That’s right, Don and I just got home from spending 5 days camping in Northern Manitoba. We spent time with family on 35 beautiful acres of pure raw nature. We went horse back riding, rafted down the river on inner tubes and walked back UP the river against the current and played games all week with the kids.
For those who don’t know me, I have a slipped disc in my back and it causes me some great pain. While I still have some pain in the morning, I’m noticing my ‘recovery’ time (the time it takes for me to be fully mobile in the morning) is becoming less and less every day. Even after an 11 hour drive home … today my back is feeling a bit tired but just a bit tired.
Today is Day 17 of VIVIX™ and I am feeling like I am 25 again and that’s no lie. In fact I have more energy now than I did at 25 as I had two little kids … I find myself doing a double take when I pass a mirror – I almost don’t recognize me.
And I’m seeing changes in Don, his body looks young again like when I met him (10 years ago) … and he too feels more energy.
One thing we both noticed is that we do not run out of breath doing things that would normally have us panting. We can both carry large loads easily … our strength has increased noticeably.
What’s really great is that the family we just spent time with watched us change before their eyes and believe me … they are anxious to get their hands on this life extending tonic.
Day 20 – A visit to our Chiropractor
Three weeks on VIVIX™ and the changes are dramatic at this point. My daughters keep saying, I can’t believe how young you look.
Yesterday, Don and I had our regular Chiropractic visit. It had been two weeks since our last visit and in that time, we went on a week’s vacation to Manitoba as described in my last post. I was anxious to hear how my back fared as it was feeling pretty good.
For those that don’t know, I have a slipped disc in my lower back that causes me great pain and sciatic issues. It has been a continuous issue for the past 2.5 years. My Chiropractor has been helping as much as she can to keep my back healthy and mobile.
Yesterday, after my adjustment I asked her how my back was and she said … “it actually feels pretty good, it’s fairly loose (on my last visit it was anything but loose) and there was one area that was out but it adjusted easily”
At this point I said … well let me tell you about my week last week and I explained all about our trip and our 11 hour car ride home … she looked at me and said … “there’s no way I’d have guessed …”
Day 22 – overwhelmed
I am now at a loss for words to describe what is happening to us. It’s not my imagination and I surely don’t expect others to see these rapid results but the results are real for Don and I.
In just 3 weeks on VIVIX™, we have completely changed. Our friends who were sceptics can’t deny the change. They just stare at us in amazement.
This morning I noticed further changes. The ‘age’ spots under my eyes (right on my cheek bones) have faded … under my right eye they are almost gone, the left not far behind. I actually have cheek bones again and eye sockets … no puffy dark eyes. My eyes look young.
And then I noticed my neck. There is no loose skin and the discoloration I had has almost disappeared on the sides of my neck. I tend to freckle and with sun exposure the ‘freckling’ is enhanced and some of my more exposed skin had “permanent” freckles (ok maybe they were age spots … lol). Bottom line … my skin is looking younger and the tone is even and soft … I have NO wrinkles left …
Day 27 – my hair is healthier
I went to my hairdresser last night for my usual cut and colour. She noticed my hair was different. I said, does it feel thicker? She said, yes and healthier. I mentioned that Don had noticed the sink was no longer full of hair every day and I realized I hadn’t been seeing handfuls of hair in the shower.
I was growing quite concerned with my hair and even with the ProSante hair treatment, my hair continued to fall out. Going bald was not a pleasant thought for a woman of 54 years young.
I have very fine, thin hair and not much of it so it’s really easy to notice a change. My hairdresser noticed it … and I’m continuing to notice my hair feeling fuller and healthier.
Don and I are both continuing to notice changes in our bodies. Don looks like he’s been at the gym lifting weights for the last 6 months. Age spots on my face are all but gone at this point, I started keeping a close eye on a cluster of spots just on my cheek bones (cheek bones I forgot I had till 2 weeks ago!).
My dimples are back … forgot I had so many – Don loves it!
Our bodies are becoming young again … everywhere 😉
We can’t wait to see what the next month brings. Our friends, family and the biggest sceptics are all willing to try VIVIX™ for a month.
10 Weeks 4 Days
I’m at a loss for words for all that Don and I are experiencing … the changes above continue to happen as our bodies continue to change and evolve. We both have a lot more energy and stamina as was evident on our trip to Hawaii (we just returned!). I traveled well, my back was hardly an issue in fact, we walked at least 10 to 15KM every day, walked up the 5 flights to our room most times (except when carrying baggage) and not once did we lose our breath. In fact, I remember commenting to Don when I got to our floor … look, I’m not even breathing heavy … it was like I’d just walked on a straight path a few feet … it was amazing.
One Year and Eight Months Later
Has it really be that long? I was reading over our results that Don and I experienced with VIVIX™ and realized how much we’ve changed since that 10 week mark.
Our skin is continuing to get more resilient, not less. My skin on my neck has tightened up.

Today I’d like to begin to discuss the many resources that are available for Internet marketers to use to build a list. These are the resources that I feel are necessary to maximize your Internet presence and build your list.
In this post, I’ll talk about the importance of Auto-responders and show you how to use one with a blog to create a lead capture page so you can begin to collect subscribers to your contact list.
Auto-Responders
A must for every business, online or offline. Your auto-responder becomes your contact manager, list builder and follow-up manager.
With your auto-responder you can create an immediate response to your new subscribers, share important details, provide a training series, generate an ezine or newsletter. You can also broadcast a message to your list any time, offering real time communication.
My auto-responder of choice is Response Magic for ease of use and flexibility. The cost for Response Magic is just 17.95.
Lead Capture Pages
With your auto-responder all setup, you will need to create a place for your subscribers to subscribe to your list. I recommend using Blogspot or another blog to place your auto-responder form. If you are html savvy and have your own domain, you can easily create a lead capture page on your own domain.
I offer simple directions on how to setup Response Magic on a Blog at My Wealthy Blog. The report is free to download and use and I offer a branding solution to add your contact informaton and affiliate links to my report and use it as an incentive for your subscribers.
Driving Traffic to Your Lead Capture Page
Setting up is simple, however … this is the point most people tend to give up.
Why?
The answer is simple. When using online marketing tools, one gets overwhelmed with information, links, emails, etc. It is easy to lose one’s focus and become distracted in the sea of links.
HINT: stay focused on the task of advertising your new Lead Capture page and avoid distractions.
Ok, so let’s talk a bit about online resources. There are many to choose from and I’ll discuss a few of the the main ones that I am currently using. We’ll cover others in another post.
Online Marketing Lists
By online marketing lists, I am referring to ‘Safelists’ and other marketing lists such as ‘ListJoe’. These lists are very effective and have provided a lot of downline members to my business over time.
Caution: When marketing to online lists, it’s important to setup a separate email address to use for registering for these programs. You will want to setup a message rule in your email program to direct this new email to a separate folder for you to manage. This is key to avoiding distractions in list marketing.
Online marketing lists can be a distraction as there are many links within the members’ area of their programs. Using online marketing lists is simple.

And yes, it really is that simple.
What do you advertise to these lists?
That’s even simpler. You want to direct them to your new lead capture page. If you are branding and giving away my report “My Wealthy Blog” then you will want to write an ‘ad’ that reflects this.

My Top Online Lists
Long Standing Reliable Safelists
A safelist is a list that allows you to subscribe with the idea that you will send your business ad to the members of the list. In exchange, you agree to receive emails from other list members. That’s why it’s so important to setup a separate email for this process.
Both offer free and pro memberships and I recommend upgrading to the monthly pro membership in both as it allows you to email the list more often and the key to making all this work is consistency and persistence. Over time, both these resources were effective in generating subscribers to my list and dowline members in my primary business.
Online Marketing Lists
These types of lists function similarly to safelists. Most online marketing lists offer other types of advertising to their members as it is with the two I recommend below. In this post, I will introduce you to ListJoe and ViralURl. Both are highly responsive and responsible for rapid growth in my primary business.
List Joe – credit based list of 30,000 members. Very responsive program. This one is a must to upgrade! List Joe is also a unique downline builder capitalizing on the other top marketing lists.
ViralURL – earn credits to send emails to random members. Tracks your links as well. Very effective program and most effective as an upgraded member. I recently wrote an article on how to setup and use ViralURL and welcome you to enjoy the step by step article here.
ListJoe and ViralURL are the two resources that I recommend you upgrade in right away. As an upgraded member, you will see results very quickly using just these two systems with the ability to email 30,000 random members in each program every single month!
As with Safelists, you will want to use a separate email address for these types of programs to easily manage the incoming email you will receive.
Social Networks
Another big distraction can be Social Networks, however they can also be an extremely fruitful resource for attracting the right prospects for your business.
The advantage of Social Networks is the ability to ‘hunt’ for the right person to contact. You can search based on likes and dislikes, network connections etc.
You visit the prospects profile page that they have listed on the Social Network and either post a private message or invite them to your personal contact list. All Social Networks offer this ability, although they all function just a little bit different.
Social Networks are a great resource for prospects if you use them accordingly. I recently wrote an article on using AdlandPro, one of my favourite online Social Networks. AdlandPro is a Business Social Network in that most of the individuals you will find are using the Internet in some shape or form.

What’s your reason for not making money?
Are you struggling online to find people who want to join your business? Many of the people I talk to are. It’s one of their main concerns when considering a program – will they be able to sponsor.
My question to you is … where are you looking and what message are you sending?
When I go looking for prospects online, I go where the prospects are.
I’m looking for people who are online already who are looking to create success and make some money! That is why we are all here, isn’t it? To make money?
Good … I just wanted to check 🙂
Now … consider this, if making money is your ultimate goal, why aren’t you making any?
Tricky question, eh?
I’ll tell you why many of you are not making money … here are just a few reasons that I believe are holding some of you back.
1. You joined too many programs at once – there are many distractions online and a person tends to follow the distractions and ends up joining many programs without ever taking time to learn about the first program they joined … sound familiar?
2. You joined a “safelist” and your inbox was bombarded – what you didn’t do was learn how to setup your email to manage the email that would come from the safelist … or maybe you didn’t realize you would receive these emails. Like many, a person is apt to join a program without fully understand what the program is about, the same holds true for safelists. They work great if you know how to use them properly (we’ll get into that later).
3. You have no money to invest in a business or into advertising that business – yes, it is possible to make money online using free resources – however, there is a price to pay and that price is time – a LOT of time. Time to acquire and learn to use enough free resources to drive enough traffic to your prospecting system. Yes, it can be done. I don’t recommend it.
The solution is simple.
Take the time to learn what you are doing. There are many great training resources available to help you learn to use the tools and resources you need to use to help build your list of prospects.
One of my favourite resources is the report I wrote called ‘My Wealthy Blog‘. This free report takes you by the hand in step-by-step fashion and shows you how to use an auto-responder and Blogspot to create a lead capture page and start building your prospecting list.
The Internet is one of the best resources for finding prospects and the best way to find those prospects is to have a place for them to subscribe to your list.
You can even ‘rebrand’ a copy of ‘My Wealthy Blog‘ and offer it as an incentive for visitors to your lead capture page, I show you how to do this in the report!
